The collection was inspired by the royal heritage of Kutch and its signature bright colours. Mehra reimagined the traditional aesthetic with modern, fusion wear style silhouettes and more streamlined lehengas. Mirror work was the focal point of the collection and it was mixed with elements of Gota Patti and zari on silk textiles, as well as prints in chiffon and organza.

The collection had a wide range of traditional wear options including sarees, anarkalis, and lehengas, as well as western wear and fusion wear options, including gowns and jumpsuits. A selection of pre-draped sarees also offered an accessible approach to traditional wear.

“I'm immensely enthused to be a part of this new-age Digital Fashion Show,” said Mehra in a press release.

“This lineup is fantastic because of many reasons. The most important being having to work on it, unconventionally, with a pandemic looming around that brought a multitude into perspective. Tons of love to my entire team that made it a seamless experience with safety kept at priority.”

Ridhi Mehra founded her eponymous brand in December 2012 in New Delhi, inspired by vintage and European aesthetics. The brand retails from its New Delhi flagship store, dedicated e-commerce store, and select multi-brand retailers.
