Retailer Outdoor Voices has recently opened its second store at 199 Lafayette Street, New York, on the corner between Broome St. and Lafayette St. in Soho.

The US running and fitness brand, whose style combines sport with fashion, was founded in 2012 by Tyler Haney. After opening a store in Austin (Texas) in October 2014, Outdoor Voices has now opened a second, 100 m² shop.

The pop-up store was originally planned to operate until mid-January but, thanks to its success, it will stay in business until mid-March. The brand's declared objective is to open a permanent store in New York this year.

Outdoor Voices targets the 'urban weekend', and showcases its collections with interiors inspired by sport and fitness gyms, where chairs are replaced by training mats and changing room benches. Besides its fashion range, the brand also features a lifestyle selection, from sneakers to books, candles and accessories.

Outdoor Voices' latest funding round raised $7 million, with French brand A.P.C. joining the pool of its main investors, alongside General Catalyst, Forerunners Ventures and the Collaborative Fund. In the coming weeks, Outdoor Voices is set to present its first collaboration with A.P.C., thus strengthening the latter's sport segment.
