The business worked on 400 stores last financial year and is growing at a fast pace, ET Bureau reported. The business uses AI to project manage brick-and-mortar store opening developments to enable brands to expand their retail footprint across India without set backs.

“We help save up to 8% on the retailers’ annual project budget on expansion,” said 91 Squarefeet co-founder Amit Bansal, ET Retail reported. “Eventually, we are planning on building an operating system for physical retail. Product will evolve towards an operating system for physical retail and will be committed to solving issues of the sector.”

The business works to reduce time delays on physical store openings as these can significantly affect the cost of the project. Issues with store openings can lead to around 10-25% Capex leakage which 91 Squarefeet aims to prevent.

91 Squarefeet launched as a startup in Gurugram and has worked with businesses including Aditya Birla Group, Tata, and Reliance Retail among others. “Our tech-enabled system ensures more than 45 quality checks, maps the right job to the right fit supplier and ensures real-time progress tracking,” said Bansal. “The entire process is now helping the brands get 20-25% faster turnaround time.”
