Replay opens its first store in India, plans to take store count to 10 more by 2021
Italian denim brand Replay has entered the Indian market through a strategic distribution partnership with Reliance Brands by opening its first store in Gurugram. The brand plans to take its store count to 10 by 2021.
The two companies had signed an agreement last year which gave Reliance Brands the exclusive distribution rights to the Replay brand in the country. Replay, which was selling online in India, is now looking to tap the offline market with its exclusive stores.
The new store is spread over an area of 1,200 square feet and will offer a wide range of denims, casual wear, footwear and accessories for men and women.
The brand will further expand its retail presence with the addition of three more stores this year in metro cities of Mumbai and Delhi.
Commenting on the store opening, Matteo Sinigaglia, CEO of Fashion Box Spa in a statement said: “I am very excited about Replay’s first store opening in India at Delhi-Gurugram. It is a real pleasure to join forces with Reliance Brands Limited and I truly believe we are starting a wonderful journey together.”
“Replay plans to open four more stores this year and another six next year making it a total of ten by 2021. We will also be present in White Crow multi brand stores which are run by Reliance Brands Limited,” Manu Sharma, business head, Replay India at Reliance Brands Ltd told FashionNetwork.com.
“We are launching on Ajio simultaneously which ensures that all the Replay aficionados across the country have access to the latest collection of the brand,” he added.
Replay is a leading international fashion brand and currently has 121 mono-brand stores and 131 shop-in-shops internationally.
