Renu Oberoi opens luxury jewellery store in Mumbai

Fine jewellery brand Renu Oberoi Luxury Jewellery has opened a flagship store on Mumbai’s Marine Drive to house its selection of modern-meets-traditional diamond and gemstone jewellery. 

Oberoi worked with Zaki Sheikh of Parthenon Architects to design the new retail space and chose a colour palette of greys, whites, and golds. “From the finesse of the display windows to the centrepieces, everything has been carefully curated to create a spell of sophistication,” Oberoi told Vogue India about the new store. 
 
Oberoi chose Marine Drive, also called The Queen’s Necklace, as the location for the private boutique for its cultural heritage and accessibility for international customers. “The timelessness of this heritage landmark in Mumbai is synonymous with the brand’s timeless designs and craftsmanship, steeped in luxury,” said Oberoi. “With this first-of-its-kind store, we hope to create an unparalleled jewellery experience for our global clients.” 

The store features a statement chandelier, delicate rose wallpaper, and illuminated cabinets to house the brand’s latest collection of 1950’s inspired diamond, ruby, and emerald jewellery. Gold and modern accents add to the store’s opulent feel. 
 
“The days of wearing one piece and storing it in the locker for eternity are gone,” said Oberoi about adapting to consumer trends. “It doesn’t always have to be reserved for a ‘special’ occasion, it should have the capability of being worn as often as the owner wishes. Which is why, we have worked on ensuring that our high-design pieces are impactful, wearable and always enjoyable.”
