With consumer awareness rising, the fashion industry, in general, is opting for sustainable fabrics and brands see huge potential in this segment for growth.

Rengé too wants to cash in on this trend and desires to be a completely sustainable brand by 2020 by using environmentally friendly fabrics for its creations.

“My aim is to be as sustainable as possible, and though it’s a work in progress, which we strive to achieve every day. For us that means using mostly environmentally friendly fabrics in 2020, and increasing CSR activities,” Sheena Uppal founder and creative director at Rengé told the FashionNetwok.com.

“Currently we are selling through our own website and through pernias popup shop. A part of our collection is also available in Singapore at indigo culture. We consciously choose to associate ourselves with boutique online retailers, as we need to stay true to our brand aesthetic and values,” she added.

The brand plans to go offline soon and aims to launch its flagship store by 2021. It will also be investing significantly on marketing to boost online sales.

Talking about the brand’s offline plans and growth strategy, Uppal said, “We were selling at Kitsch, New Delhi and again are open to selling at multi-label boutique stores. Our desire is to eventually open our flagship store in the next couple of years.”

“For the next 6 months to a year, we are investing heavily in marketing-digital and offline. The next year is crucial for us as we focus on selling through our website, as that really will lay the foundation for Rengé’s future plans.”

Founded in February 2016 by designer Sheena Uppal, Rengé currently sells through its website and boutique online retailers.
