Reliance partners with Vardhman Textiles for Relan fabrics

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has partnered with Vardhman Textiles Ltd to manufacture the company’s innovative Relan fabrics in the country.

Under the partnership, the two companies will work closely to develop high standard quality fabrics. The fabrics produced will be used in the manufacturing of apparels in formals, casuals and other womenswear segments.
 
Commenting on the partnership, Suchita Jain, Joint Managing Director, Vardhman Textiles Ltd, in a statement said, “We see many exciting possibilities with Relan to create new fabric developments. Our strengths have always been rapid innovation and creating strong product ranges that are acceptable to brands, and Reliance is the perfect partner for our developments.”

Gunjan Sharma, CMO – Polyester Division, RIL, added, “We will work together to ensure the consumer’s growing demand for high-quality performance and sustainable apparel are met with Relan. This partnership further emphasises our focus on creating opportunities for entire textile value chain, including brands and apparel manufacturers.”
 
Last month, RIL had got into a similar partnership through its Hub Excellence Partners (HEP) program has collaborated with textile major Arvind Limited.
 
RIL’s polyester division had launched Relan last year with an aim to provide fabrics to the fashion brands in the country. The brand till date has signed agreements with over 32 Indian companies from across the country to create an activewear range of products.
