Reliance partners with Lakme Fashion Week to launch Earth Tee 2

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has collaborated with Lakme Fashion Week to create a limited edition of Earth Tee 2. The Earth Tee was launched under the Relan ‘Fashion for Earth’ initiative on the occasion of World Environment Day.
 

The Earth Tee has been manufactured by recycling 50,000 PET bottles collected at the recently concluded LFW - Summer Resort ’19 edition.
 
The collection has been designed by the Yavi who was the winner of Relan Elle Graduate 2019 contest.

Speaking of the initiative, Jaspreet Chandok, vice president and head of fashion at IMG Reliance in a statement said, “Lakme Fashion Week is happy to collaborate with Relan to contribute towards a greener planet and hopes this innovation will become a movement across events in the country. LFW has pushed the agenda towards sustainability for the past few years and we are glad that the conversation now seems to be developing strongly with brands and consumers now adopting this narrative.”
 
Vipul Shah, chief operating officer of petrochemicals business at RIL added, “The #EarthTee2 is an invitation to you to participate in our ‘Fashion For Earth’ movement. It is imperative that we all come together in spreading awareness about sustainable fabrics, fashion, and living.”
 
Reliance had launched the first edition of Earth Tee last year in collaboration with fashion designer Anita Dongre.
