According to various media reports from India, the sportswear label owned by Adidas is taking its collaboration with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to India. Reebok is planning to roll out six new concept stores in the country called “fight shops”, where the label will retail products from its Combat gear line and will hold mixed martial arts sessions.

UFC, the largest US martial arts organization, signed a worldwide partnership with Reebok to introduce UFC Fight Kit, the official fighters’ uniform on the championship. India is a particularly attractive country to launch these initiatives as three out of ten million UFC's Facebook fans are Indian.

Reebok also plans to boost its marketing efforts with a partnership with Sony Kix, a sports channel founded earlier this year.

Dave Thomas, Managing Director of Adidas Group for India confirmed the project to the Times of India: "India has a growing number of UFC fans. We have big plans for UFC and will start with six Fight Shops in major metropolises and roll out more in the near future."
