Reebok India on Wednesday said that it plans to open 10 more FitHub stores pan India in next one year even as it continues to focus on positioning itself as fitness brand in the country.

Reebok wants to expand its FitHub stores across India - Reebok Yoga

The company will target the women segment and for this it has tapped Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as brand ambassador. The star launched the second FitHub store in Chandigarh, Punjab.

"We have plans to open 10 FitHub stores pan India in next one year. We are not planning massively (to open stores). We want to grow in quality not in numbers," said Reebok India, senior marketing director, Silvia Tallon, on Wednesday.

This year, the company opened 15 such stores, which are designed like gyms, and offer a range of footwear, clothing and accessories pertaining to various fitness activities. From a total of 233 stores across the country, Reebok has 145 FitHubs, she said.

"We are only focusing on the fitness segment. Running, training and out of training, we are covering multiple disciplines. We have decided to go for niche and emerging categories such as mixed martial arts, which is a growing category," said the senior marketing director.

The women's segment is another area of the company's focus, said Tallon, who joined the company in April to spearhead Reebok in India.

"Women (consumers) is one of the growing focus areas and that is why we chose actress Kangana Ranaut as our brand ambassador. We feel she really represents fitness, she is fearless and she is the right choice for Reebok brand," Tallon said.
