Raymond has launched its first ever Raymond Ceremonial flagship store at Kemps Corner in Mumbai. The store will act as the main flagship for Raymond’s ethnic wear clothing.

The new Raymond Ceremonial store features the brand’s ethnic and traditional occasion wear offerings. With warm lighting and mannequins dressed up throughout the store, the space provides a modern home for Raymond’s Indian heritage wear.

The 2,300-square-foot store also offers technology to help customers ordering bespoke pieces. The store’s online software system sends a notification to the brand’s head office when a tailoring request is made which allows the office to manufacture the item and send it to the store.

The store stocks Raymond’s brand Ethnix, which currently has two other flagship stores. Raymond plans to open more Raymond Ceremonial stores in other metro locations. Two more Ethnix stores are also in the works and should open in mid-March. With the goal of reaching six Ethnix stores this financial year, the long term plan is to reach between 30 and 40 stores.

The brand is also working on developing its ethnic wear to reach a wider market. The brand recently launched its “Smart Ethnics” product line that mixes casual and ethnic wear. The collection includes fusion items such as denim kurtas and is designed to bring in a younger demographic.
