Ecovera has been created by Raymond by recycling post-consumer waste PET bottles, using biofuels and energy-efficient processes through Reliance’s R-Elan technology.

Commenting on the partnership, Sudhanshu Pokhriyal, president of textiles division at Raymond Ltd, in a statement said, “We as an organisation are known for innovations in manufacturing top quality fabrics using both natural and man-made fibres. In our endeavour to create eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics, R-Elan GreenGold is a perfect choice.”

The Ecovera range will be available across the 1,500 stores Raymond stores in India.

RIL’s polyester division had launched Relan last year with an aim to provide fabrics to the fashion brands in the country. The brand till date has signed agreements with over 32 Indian companies from across the country.
