Swiss luxury watchmaker Raymond Weil after witnessing strong growth in the last 12 months sees huge potential in the Indian market for growth and expects it to be among its top five markets globally.

India currently ranks around 12 in Raymond Weil’s overall global sales, however, the company is confident that the country will break into the top five in the coming years.
 
Entering India 30 years back through various different retailers, Raymond Weil currently sells in India through its two retail partners Ethos and Helios offering watches from Rs 45,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

“The company is upbeat as it has doubled its India business in last 12 months and expects to continue such growth in the coming years. We see huge potential in the Indian market, which ranks around 12 to 13 in our overall global sales,” Raymond Weil Director Olivier Bernheim was quoted as saying by PTI.
 
"India is one of the two markets for us which has the biggest potentials. Keeping in mind the luxury market in India, it has witnessed immense winds of change over the past few years. The company has made a niche for itself in the watch market within the Indian sub-continent," Bernheim added.
 
The company is looking to enhance its online presence and will be targeting the aspirational class for future growth in the country.
 
Raymond Weil is currently operating 42 stores across the country most of which are operated by its retail partners Ethos and Helios.
