Raw Mango collaborates with Aditi Mangaldas to support artists

Sanjay Garg’s sustainable fashion and lifestyle brand Raw Mango has collaborated with kathak dancer Aditi Mangaldas to create a series of short films to promote awareness of India’s art community as many struggle during lockdown.

 
As part of Teamwork Fine Arts Society’s initiative ‘Art Matters’, Raw Mango and Aditi Mangaldas have released a series of six films titled ‘Within… from within…’. The films, each around a minute in length, are choreographed by Mangaldas and performed by members of the Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company - The Drishtikon Dance Foundation. The films aim to raise money to support performance artists, many of whom are struggling during lockdown facing cancelled performances.
 
“Through this collaboration, we strive to support performing artists and their families in these trying times,” Raw Mango’s founder and designer Sanjay Garg said in a press release. “We urge everyone to come forward to enjoy the performances, raise awareness, and contribute.”

“Belonging to a small community of artists in India who are privileged, I felt compelled to offer an artistic experience rather than just make an appeal,” said Aditi Mangaldas in a press release. “I thank Raw Mango and Teamwork Fine Arts Society for supporting this initiative. Do consider this as an offering to bring you something to cherish and cheer on our community. We hope that you will open your hearts and donate for the wonderful artists who are struggling to survive in these unprecedented times.”
