From Feb. 1-2, Sanjay Garg put on an array of cultural events at the Raw Mango flagship store in Angoori Badi, New Delhi, to celebrate his fashion brand’s tenth birthday. On Feb. 1, Garg presented the collection of 10 art objects to celebrate each year of its history.

The sculptures were designed to “represent Raw Mango’s exploratory nature and evolution within new forms of expression that take the conversation of design beyond textile,” according to the brand’s press release. The day also saw a dance performance by Gair dancers from Rajasthan.

On day two, a group of Seperas gave a traditional performance and guests including Kiran Rao, Anita Lal, Poornima Rai, Jagdip Jagpal, Kalyani Saha, Anupam Poddar, Gautam Sinha, and Jayshree Poddar among others gathered to celebrate the brand.

Sanjay Garg, the textile designer and founder of Raw Mango explained his inspiration for the event and indeed his brand in a press release: “One cannot see textiles in a compartmentalised silo. Kala is a by-product of all forms of artistic creation and is intertwined with history and culture. Only when you look back can you look ahead and work on something for the future.”
