Raw Mango takes Angoori collection to Kolkata

Sanjay Garg’s brand Raw Mango will hold a “Presenting Angoori” pop-up shop in Kolkata from November 5 to 6 at the multi-brand boutique Elahe to showcase its festive saree collection for the first time in the city.

Raw Mango’s Kolkata pop-up shop will give the city’s shoppers their first chance to see many items from the brand’s latest collection offline. Angoori features a large number of custom textiles including metallic gold “Sunheri” fabric used in pyjama-style sets and opulent yet reserved sarees. 

“In Angoori, timeless saris evoke festivity and joy,” wrote the brand about the collection on its Facebook page. “Classic motifs feature on silks and organza from Chanderi and Varanasi. Weaves are celebrated in hues of vermillion red, royal blue, forest green, lime-yellow, maroon and gulabi pink. Angoori, our soft unassuming pistachio, assumes centre stage.”

The brand also launched an exclusive collection of gift items for the festive season. The “Festive Gifting” range includes a crystal and ruby bowl, handwoven cotton stole, and hand cast iron statue and launched on Raw Mango’s e-commerce store at the end of last month.

Sanjay Garg launched Raw Mango in 2008. The brand is based in New Delhi and is known for its handloom sarees and textiles.
