Raw Mango collaborates with Sujan for 'Sher Bagh' collection

Designer Sanjay Garg has launched his brand Raw Mango’s latest collection ‘Sher Bagh’ as a collaboration with wildlife conservation and hospitality business Sujan to raise awareness about and celebrate nature conservation. 

Garg describes the new collection as, “a collaboration between Raw Mango and Anjali Singh of Sujan, Sher Bagh it is a result of ongoing wildlife conversations and woven textile explorations advocating for the conservation and coexistence between mankind and nature,” the brand announced on Facebook.
 
The collection launched on Raw Mango’s e-commerce store on December 12. The collection features Banarasi silk brocade with abstract, animal-inspired patterns woven into it. With natural hues and metallic details on trench-coats and skirts, Sher Bagh celebrates the natural world and aims to inspire people to strive to protect it. 

Sher Bagh launched with a showcase at Aurobindo Marg garden in Delhi, Vogue India reported. Around 50 pieces were presented from the collection which was the product of a three-year collaboration between Garg and Sujan’s founder, and long-time Raw Mango patron, Anjali Singh. 
 
“Anjali is an early patron of Raw Mango… and we share a similar vision of a world with regards to humans and animals,” Garg told Vogue India about the collaboration.

“We wanted to create a conversation about the idea of co-existence and mutual respect between all life forms through the medium of design, which we began working on in 2018.”
