Rap stars release their own versions of ugly Christmas sweaters

In time for the holiday season, celebrities are releasing their own lines of ugly Christmas sweaters. Whoopi Goldberg started the craze with a capsule collection of eight ugly sweaters, launched November 1 and sold exclusively by Lord & Taylor in the U.S. and Hudson's Bay in Canada.

Now rap stars Nas and 2 Chainz have each released their own versions of the holiday sweater.

This past week 2 Chainz unveiled his newest collection of 'dabbing santa' sweaters, in reference to 'dabbing', a viral dance craze. This is the musician's second ugly sweater collection, having already released a 'dabbing sweater' for 2015, which brought in $2 million in sales.

Wednesday morning, Nas announced his own iteration of the holiday sweater, this one featuring a kneeling santa. with a political message – a reference to Colin Kaepernick's controversial kneeling during the national anthem earlier this year. All proceeds from the $45 sweater will go towards a criminal justice reform initiative at the Center for Court Innovation. The sweater will be distributed through the rapper's garment label HSTRY.

Besides 2 Chainz, rapper Fetty Wap also joined in on the ugly sweater fun last Christmas, which proved to be a viral success on social media.
