Rajkummar Rao to endorse fashion brand Bewakoof
Direct-to-consumer (D2C) fashion brand Bewakoof has announced the appointment of Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao as its brand ambassador.
The association will see the actor endorsing Bewakoof products across digital and social media platforms. The brand expects the popularity of the actor to help expand its consumer base and fuel growth.
Commenting on the association, Prabhkiran Singh, co-founder CEO of Bewakoof, in a statement said: “When we started looking for a celebrity for promoting our brand, we wanted someone who not only personifies our brand ethos but is also our perfect customer. Rajkummar has wowed us with his stellar performances and unique choices. Thus, getting him on board felt like the most obvious and a natural choice.”
Launched in 2012 by Prabhkiran Singh, Bewakoof claims to have a customer base of around 10 million. The brand had recently secured $4 million (Rs 29 crore) funding from IvyCap Ventures.
Bewakoof is backed by institutional Investors like Ivycap, Investcorp, Uniqorn Ventures, Pratithi Trust, and angel investors. It expects a revival of sales after the recent funding and aims to clock around Rs 150 crore in sales for the next financial year.
