Rajesh Exports Q2 net profit jumps 68 percent to Rs 291 crore

Jewellery major Rajesh Exports Ltd witnessed a 68 percent surge in its consolidated net profit at Rs 291 crore ($39.2 million) for the second quarter ended September 2021, as against Rs 173 crore it reported in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 60 percent to Rs 41,245 crore, as against Rs 102,149 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
Commenting on the Q2 results, Rajesh Mehta, chairman of Rajesh Exports Ltd in a statement said: “l am pleased to state that the company has been able to maintain its profitability track record and the company is on track to achieve its growth plans.”

“It is heartening to note that the company is poised for achieving the targets and I anticipate good growth in terms of revenues and profit in the coming quarters,” he added.
 
Rajesh Exports is a gold retailer in India that refines, designs, and sells gold and diamond jewellery. The company has 82 retail jewellery showrooms under the name Shubh Jewellers and supplies jewellery to some 5,000 retail showrooms across the globe.
