Rajesh Exports reports Q2 net profit of Rs 316 crore

Rajesh Exports Limited reported a 0.24 percent rise in its net profit to Rs 316 crore ($44 million) for the second quarter, ended September 2019, as against a net profit of Rs 315 crore it had reported a year ago.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 25 percent to Rs 66,827 crore as against Rs 53,376 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2018.
 
Rajesh Exports had strengthened its retail presence over the last few months by opening showrooms under its brand Shubh Jewellers across India.

The retail expansion coupled with the launch of new collections helped Rajesh Exports improve its margins with strong sales despite the economic slowdown.
 
Commenting on the second-quarter results, Rajesh Mehta chairman of Rajesh Exports in a statement said: "The company has posted impressive growth in revenues and has also posted growth in profits. It is a matter of great satisfaction that even in this challenging global and domestic environment the company has posted impressive growth, which is a testimony to the management and the policies of the company."
 
Rajesh Exports currently has 82 retail jewellery showrooms for Shubh Jewellers and supplies jewellery to about 5,000 retail showrooms across India.
