On February 13, Raisin was presented with the Textile Manufacturing Business of the Year Award to mark the brand’s swift expansion in its first year of doing business. Launched in 2018, womenswear brand Raisin has expanded into 22 Indian cities and opened 72 brick-and-mortar stores. The brand has also launched online and is pursuing an omni-channel retail strategy.

“We are honoured and humbled to receive this award by Entrepreneur India,” said Vishal Pacheriwal, one of Raisin’s co-founders, on the occasion of winning the award. “We would like to thank your SIS [shop-in-shop] partners and our customers who have trusted in us and believed in the product. Our vision is to create Raisin as a brand that sustains for decades and is known to provide comfortable fashion to today’s modern women.”

The Small Business Awards, which recognises India’s small to mid-sized businesses, also celebrated its eighth edition last Wednesday.

Raisin, launched in summer last year, retails a range of both western and ethnic womenswear. Products include kurtas, dresses tunics, and tops. The brand is a subsidiary of Parvati Fabrics Limited which was founded in 1984.
