PVH Corp., the New York-based owner of Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen and Speedo, among others, announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a men’s underwear licensing agreement with sportswear giant Nike.

The deal will see PVH take responsibility for the design, sourcing, marketing and worldwide distribution of Nike-branded men’s underwear, which will be produced at the company’s Center of Excellence for Underwear.

“We are incredibly proud to be working with NIKE, as this is an opportunity for two great companies to build on each other’s strengths, making it a win-win for everyone, especially consumers,” said Cheryl Abel-Hodges, president of Calvin Klein North America and The Underwear Group, in a press release.

No further details were provided about what kind of products consumers can expect to see resulting from the partnership, but with Nike’s men’s intimates offering currently spanning a restricted selection of boxer briefs, its tie-up with underwear expert PVH suggests a significant expansion of the category is in the pipeline.

For its part, PVH recently confirmed that it is currently in talks with its North America apparel partner G-III Apparel Group to license out the women's jeans unit of its own Calvin Klein brand.
