Pursu label debuts with spring/summer 2018 handbag collection

Sisters Sulagna Kapoor and Debsena Chakraborty have launched a handbag brand, Pursu, which has come out with its first collection, 'Spring Summer 2018'.

The self-sustained handbag start up Pursu has launched its first collection of bags for the summer. The collection includes a range of printed bags all with “smart grab handles, top zip closure, and spacious compartments” designed to be both aesthetic and functional.

Handbag shapes include satchels, tote bags, clutches, and barrel bags among others. The sisters describe the collection as designed for a woman who is “independent, socially active and has a strong sense of style.” 

“Since growing up days we always wanted to work together and create something on our own so Pursu is a dream come true for Sulagna and me,” the brand’s co-Founder Debsena Chakraborty said in a press release.

“We are very excited with the launch of our first range of products under the Spring Summer collection. With Pursu bags, we wanted to address the need for a premium, reliable and affordable brand for ladies’ bag in the market.”

The bags are priced between Rs 3,000 ($44) and Rs 7,600 and will be launched online soon.
