Purplle to step into live shopping with first-ever 'Watch and Buy'
Multi-brand cosmetics retailer Purplle has teamed up with beauty influencer Jaspreet Kaur to hold its first-ever ‘Watch and Buy’ live event as the business steps into the swiftly growing market for live shopping.
“Are you ready for the biggest announcement of the year,” the business announced on Facebook. “We’re elated to host our first-ever Watch & Buy Live exclusively on the Purplle app and we can’t wait to have you join us.”
As part of the live shopping session, which will play as a video on Purplle’s shopping app, Kaur will present a makeup tutorial with the theme of “budget makeup for beginners” and viewers will be able to shop the products Kaur uses in real time. The live session will also feature five giveaways to give viewers the chance to win beauty prizes and an exclusive discount code which viewers can use to get money of their purchases during the session.
The live event will take place on January 21 at 6 pm and shoppers will have to download the Purplle shopping app to take part. The live shopping session is a tool to encourage people to download the app to boost mobile sales and also marks the business’ debut into live shopping which is a fast growing sales channel in India, especially in the fashion and beauty spaces.
Purplle’s competitor Nykaa has run numerous live shopping events and has recently begun a live shopping series. Myntra also harnessed the power of live shopping events during its winter sale season.
