As part of the campaign, Purplle will donate 5% of the proceeds from its Women’s Week sale to Majlis, an NGO that supports and rehabilitates women who have faced sexual violence. Last year, Purplle donated Rs 30 lakh to Majlis through shopper fundraising and the business aims to donate a significant figure this year, Purplle announced in a press release on March 3.

“Appropriate mental, emotional, and legal support for survivors of sexual assault is extremely important,” said Gautam in a press release. “The more help we can garner, the greater the impact. I’m so glad that I can be a part of the Purplle Women’s Week campaign again, which helps thousands of women subjected to sexual assault and violence in the country. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Purplle.com continues to contribute significantly to the aid and well-being of women, and I encourage everyone to support the initiative.”

In 2022, Majlis was able to rehabilitate and support over 1,500 women with the funds it received from Purplle. As well as raising funds, the campaign is also designed to raise awareness about the charity and the importance of support for sexual violence survivors.

“At Purplle.com, we strongly believe in leveraging our platform as a voice of change,” said Purplle’s CEO and co-founder Manish Taneja. “It is a pledge we took last year to contribute our earnings towards a cause we truly care about, and we are glad to contribute this year as well. We are very thankful to our 1 lakh consumers who have made Purplle Women’s Week such a success, and are hopeful and eager for their continued support this year as well.”
