Punit Balana relaunches Mumbai flagship store

Designer Punit Balana has relaunched his eponymous brand’s flagship store in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda. The store has opened with an extended space and heightened Rajasthani inspired design. 

The new Punit Balana flagship store in Kala Ghoda is larger and more opulent than before, the brand announced in a press release. The store launched with an exclusive event featuring guests and celebrity friends of the brand including Sussane Khan, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Anshula Kapoor, and Shamita Shetty, who all wore ensembles by Balana. The event also featured music by Farooque Latif Khan to create a Rajasthani ambience, reflecting the brand’s state of origin. 
 
“When I first came to Mumbai, the idea was more exploration than expansion,” said Balana in a press release. “The purpose was to bring my personal cultural sensibilities to Mumbai. In our new Kalaghoda store, we have reimagined what the Punit Balana experience means - it’s chic, it’s minimal, yet so voluminous at the same time. Soft and elegant, yet makes a statement. Here’s me, inviting each one of you to come and visit our new store in Kalaghoda, Mumbai.”

Balana launched his original flagship in Kala Ghoda in 2018 to house his signature traditional wear designs. The luxury womenswear brand is known for its block prints and Mardi work ensembles in bright hues and with intricate detailing.
