Puma partners with Indian sprinter Dutee Chand

Global sports firm Puma has signed Indian professional sprinter and national champion Dutee Chand as its latest brand ambassador in the Indian market.
 

With this deal, Chand joins an elite list of athletes like Virat Kohli, Mary Kom, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and KL Rahul, who endorse Puma in India.
 
Commenting on her association with Puma, Chand in a statement said: “This is my very first exclusive brand association and I’m thrilled that it’s with a company that has worked with legendary athletes like Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive. It’s great to see Puma encourage athletes across sporting fields and I’m humbled by their trust in me to represent the brand in India. This means a lot to me and I’m excited about my association with Puma.”

Abhishek Ganguly, managing director at Puma India added: “Dutee’s success is a result of a sheer display of her exceptional athletic capabilities and power on the track. Having rewritten the history of Indian sports in her explosive style, she represents everything we are as a brand.”
 
Puma sees India as an important market with huge growth potential and has been investing heavily in its marketing initiatives in the country.
 
Puma currently has 365 stores in 125 cities across India. It also sells online through its website and other leading e-commerce platforms.
