Puma launches new athleisure range with Royal Challengers Bangalore
Global sports brand Puma has partnered with Indian Premier League club Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to launch an exclusive athleisure range.
The collection comprises apparel for men and women, including t-shirts, hoodies, and track pants. Puma has witnessed record-breaking jersey sales for RCB over the years and expects similar success with its newly launched athleisure range.
Commenting on the launch, Abhishek Ganguly managing director of Puma India in a statement said, “We are excited to partner with them for the launch of the athleisure range. Bringing the best of both worlds, the collection leverages Puma’s design expertise and RCB’s fashionable DNA. Through an exclusive PumaxRCB range, we aim to strengthen the team’s connect with its fans across the country.”
Rajesh Menon vice president and head of Royal Challengers Bangalore added, “This partnership is a true intersection of cricket and lifestyle. The launch of athleisure collection makes RCB the only cricket team to move beyond traditional retail merchandise into the world of GenZ, millennial fashion wear.”
Puma India is betting big on its association with cricket and cricketers as it sees huge growth potential. The brand had recently collaborated with e-commerce major Flipkart to launch an athleisure brand ‘1der’ in collaboration with Indian cricketer K L Rahul.
