Puma India onboards 18 athletes ahead of Tokyo Olympics

Sports brand Puma India has signed 18 Indian athletes across sporting disciplines who will represent the country in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

In addition to its existing brand ambassadors -- boxing champion Mary Kom, and sprinter Dutee Chand -- Puma has onboarded boxer Pooja Rani; track and field athlete Tejinder Singh; shooter Manu Bhaker; swimmer Srihari Nataraj; and hockey players Rupinder Pal Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Savita Punia, Sushila Chanu, Navneet Kaur, Navjot Kaur, Vandana Katariya, Gurjit Kaur and Udita Duhan.
 
Puma will be launching a brand campaign titled ‘Only See Great’ across platforms featuring these athletes during the Olympic games.

Commenting on the association with these athletes, Abhishek Ganguly, managing director at Puma India, in a statement said: “We are thrilled and honoured to sign some of the country’s finest athletes. As a brand, we strongly believe that being unique is a great strength and our unwavering commitment to inclusivity in sports is a testament to this.”
 
Puma has witnessed strong growth in India over the last few years through its association with sportspersons and it sees huge potential for growth going forward through its association with young talent across multiple sporting disciplines.
