Procter & Gamble Hygiene Q2 net profit down 15 percent to Rs 212 crore

Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd witnessed a 15 percent decline in net profit at Rs 212 crore ($28.4 million) for the second quarter ended December 2021, as against a net profit of Rs 251 crore in the year-ago period.

The company, which follows July-June financial year saw its revenue grow to Rs 1,093 crore during the quarter, as against Rs 1,018 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
Commenting on the Q2 results, Madhusudan Gopalan, managing director, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd in a statement said, “In a challenging market environment, we have delivered strong sales growth behind strong brand fundamentals and improved market execution. As the industry faces commodity inflation challenges, we continue to focus on improving productivity by leveraging advertising and promotion analytics, strengthening our product mix and driving supply chain efficiency to drive balanced top and bottom-line growth.”

“We will continue to focus on our strategy of driving superiority and productivity, invest in brand building, enabled by the strength of our organization and culture,” he added.
