Procter & Gamble elevates Bala Purushothaman to global chief human resource officer
He will take charge from Tracey Grabowski, who is retiring from P&G after a stint of over three decades, including more than four years as the global CHRO.
In his new role, Purushothaman will be responsible for developing and leading P&G's people and organisation strategy.
With this appointment, Purushothaman becomes the fourth Indian after Shailesh Jejurikar (chief operating officer), Sundar Raman (CEO of fabric & home care), and Kirti Singh (chief analytics & insights officer) to hold a senior position in the leadership team of the company.

Purushothaman is an experienced human resource professional with over three decades of experience. He began his career with P&G in India in 1992 as a management trainee in the human resources department and has held several senior positions in the company across multiple countries.
