Priyanka Chopra brings wedding registry concept to India with Amazon

Amazon has partnered with Priyanka Chopra to advertise its new wedding gift service.

The Bollywood actress and celebrity has teamed up with the e-commerce giant to create an “Amazon Wedding Registry” for her upcoming nuptials that brings the American gifting concept to India.

Amazon India is offering the new wedding registry function to customers to create their own on the site.

The wedding registry is a retail service allowing wedding guests to purchase items from the couple's wedding wishlist. The concept is popular in the US and Europe, where it is available via a number of e-commerce sites.

Chopra’s list includes a range of bath products, travel bags, and homeware as well as electronics and even a snowboard.  “I’m very excited to begin this new chapter in my life and I’ve selected some of my favorite items to inspire you during yours. I am also so happy that Amazon is making a $100,000 donation to UNICEF, an organization that I hold close to my heart,” said Chopra on her Instagram about the list.
