The watch has a stainless steel case with a tachymeter scale and blue dial. It pays tribute to Orbis using the organization's signature blue while staying true to Omega's Speedmaster aesthetic.

Omega is donating a portion of sales of the new Orbis watch to the organization. It is also giving teddy bears to the patients who undergo vision improvement surgeries. To tie the mission in with the product, Omega stamped a teddy bear on the back of the watch and the blue seconds hand also has a teddy bear counterweight.

Omega and Orbis formed their partnership in 2011. Orbis trains new eye care professionals and also operates the Flying Eye Hospital which performs medical and optical treatments in remote areas. Orbis has taken its Flying Eye Hospital to over 90 countries and performed over 2 million treatments.

In partnering with Omega, Gerber follows in his mother Cindy Crawford's footsteps, who is also an ambassador for the brand. She visited the Orbis team in Peru two years ago with her daughter and the experience was filmed and turned into a documentary. In it, Crawford called Orbis' Flying Eye Hospital "an aircraft that can perform miracles."

The Speedmaster 38 mm Orbis watch is now available for a suggested retail price of $4,900.
