Amsterdam now has its own Prada flagship. Opened at the intersection of the luxury thoroughfare, Hoofdstad, and Honthorststraat, the new location spans two floors, with retail space covering over 6,000 square feet.

The store offers womenswear, accessories for women and for men, women’s shoes and menswear. The architect Roberto Baciocchi designed the space, which draws from the Italian luxury brand’s signature style with a lot of black checks and white marble and pale green walls, the mark of Prada stores around the world.

The ground floor includes Prada handbags, shoes and travel accessories. The floor above houses ready-to-wear and a private VIP fitting room.

Once considered generally cut off from luxury retail, Amsterdam’s first monobrand Louis Vuitton store opened in 2002 and the city has since welcomed Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Dior and Valentino.
