Pipa Bella raises one million dollars in funding, led by Fireside Ventures

The fashion accessories brand Pipa Bella has raised a total of one million US dollars (approximately 6.7 crore rupees) in its latest funding round which was led by Fireside Ventures.

In the latest round of funding for the fashion accessories brand Pipa Bella, many existing investors in the company decided to invest once again. The investors who had previously done so before include LionRock Capital, the Founder of GSF, Rajesh Sawhney, the Founder of Beenos, Teruhide Sato, and the Mumbai Angels player, Roopa Nath. Previously, Nath had invested 650,000 dollars (approximately 4.2 crore rupees) in the company but has not yet disclosed how much he invested this time.

Following the funding round, the Founder of the consumer focused venture fund Fireside Ventures, Kanwaljit Singh, will join the board of Pipa Bella. The brand plans to use the investment for hiring and brand building. The label recently launched its summer collection that features a range of bright, beaded jewellery.

Pipa Bella was launched in 2013 by Shuchi Pandya, who graduated from the Wharton School of Business. The brand’s target audience is young women living in the city and the company has reported having over 40,000 customers and hitting operational profitability in the 2017-2018 financial year.
