Pieux’s collection of contrasting checks, tactile craft details, and clean tailoring was chosen as the Circular Design Challenge winner this year. Wool-check bodices, quirky glasses, and patchwork-style cocktail dresses encapsulated Pieux’s luxury take on sustainable craft.

“Pieux makes products that add value to the wardrobe of the consumers while exploring fashion consciously,” wrote the FDCI on Facebook as it shared the news of the brand’s win. “They make use of deconstruction and reconstruction of old clothes and discarded carpets to give an extended life to them. Making use of pattern making to construct every silhouette, they work closely with artisans in UP and Uttaranchal for different products.”

The full fashion show featured collections by six finalists, who went through two rounds of short listing before being selected for the runway show. The prize for winning this fourth edition of the Circular Design Challenge is Rs 20 lakh to use for the brand and a showcase opportunity at the next edition of the fashion week
