Oct 13, 2022
Menswear and womenswear brand Pieux presented futuristic, eco-friendly designs on the runway on day two of Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India. The brand’s conceptual showcase took place in partnership with the United Nations in India.

Pieux had won the R-Elan presents Circular Design Challenge, chosen for its innovative designs made with eco-friendly digital printing and 3D printing techniques, the FDCI announced on Facebook. The brand sent a sportswear fantasy collection down the runway with technical details ranging from weaving to pleating and an androgynous-meets-alien aesthetic.
The show began as models stood in and amongst translucent panels hanging from the ceiling, forming a circular cluster on the 360 degree runway. As the models emerged, sporty suits, structured mini dresses and psychedelic separates showed Pieux’s colourful vision for the future of fashion.
Styled with sunglasses, goggles, and sneakers, the collection wearable basics and used digital printing to transform them into conceptual garments. The lighting turned blue as the final looks were shown and the models re-entered their chrysalis-esque maze.
Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the FDCI runs from October 12 to 16 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The five-day fashion week features a mix of established and up-and-coming designers from across India as well as design contests and sustainable fashion showcases with a phygital format.
