Phoenix Mills opens Phoenix Citadel mall in Indore

Mall development business Phoenix Mills opened a new mall in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, named Phoenix Citadel. Designed to offer “Italy in Indore”, the mall is now Indore’s largest shopping centre and officially opened its doors to the public on December 1.

“The biggest brands, the most exciting experiences, and an ambience that’s truly Italian, come discover it all at Phoenix Citadel,” the mall announced on Facebook on Thursday. Measuring 10 lakh square feet and spread over 19 acres of land, the expansive shopping centre was constructed with an investment of Rs 800 crore, Indian Retailer reported. 
 
The new mall has a total of 300 stores. These include its 16 anchor stores which focus on the fashion category and include H&M and Marks & Spencer among others. Phoenix Mills expects the mall’s business transactions to total Rs 1,000 crore in the coming year. 

Following its Indore launch, Phoenix Mills plans to open new malls in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Pune in the coming months, according to the business’ chief finance officer Anuraag Srivastava. Including its new shopping centre in Indore, Phoenix Mills now counts nine malls in India. 
 
Phoenix Mills’ upcoming mall in Bengaluru is scheduled to open in 2024. The mall will be named ‘Phoenix Mall of Asia’ and will feature a number of international fashion brands.
