The company will be using the funds in research and development, product launches, and marketing. Arata has witnessed strong sales over the last few months and expects this fundraise to further fuel its growth in the Indian market.

Commenting on the fund, Dhruv Bhasin and Dhruv Madhok, co-founders of Arata, in a joint statement said: “Our revenues have grown two-times in the past seven months. The fundraise will help us scale as we aim to become a global voice with our unique product offering.”

Commenting on the investment, Nikhil Vora of Sixth Sense Ventures added: “Arata can potentially be a path breaker here with its ethos lying in 100% natural, plant-based, chemical-free products, which are good for all. I believe that in a cluttered personal care category, they have cracked the right code.”

Arata, founded in 2018 by Dhruv Bhasin and Dhruv Madhok, claims to sell all-natural, plant-based, vegan, and chemical-free unisex skin and hair care products.

The brand claims to have over 100,000 customers in the country and currently sells its products online across marketplaces such as Amazon, Nykaa and on its website as well.
