Personal care and beauty brand Pilgrim expands portfolio with Squalane-based vegan skincare line
Direct-to-customer personal care and beauty brand Pilgrim has expanded its product selection and launched a new line of Squalane-based vegan skincare goods.
Pilgrim’s latest launch solidifies its strategy of bringing international beauty secrets to the Indian market, the brand announced in a press release on March 16. Pilgrim is the first brand in India to offer a dedicated product range based on Squalane, according to the brand.
“At Pilgrim, we are on a mission to bring the best beauty and skincare practices from across the globe to Indian markets,” said Pilgrim’s CEO and co-founder Anurag Kedia.
“With our new ‘Secrets of Seville’ range, we bring the best ingredients from Spain that will enable our consumers to consciously cater to the changing needs of their skin. Squalane, although a magical ingredient for our skin was underutilised in the Indian market with only a select few products available for use. Hence, we decided to launch an entire range of products based on it for every different need of our consumers, mainly hydration.”
Squalane is a saturated hydrocarbon found naturally in the skin and is used in skincare for its hydrating and nourishing qualities. The new product line is inspired by Seville in Spain and also includes ingredient phyto-retinol, the plant-based alternative of retinol.
Pilgrim launched in 2019 with the aim of offering traditional beauty remedies from around the world to the Indian consumer. All of the brand’s products are vegan, cruelty-free, FDA-approved, and free from toxins including parabens, sulfates, and mineral oils.
