today Jul 24, 2019
The clothing brand Péro will hold two pop-up shops this summer, one with Conscious Effort in New Delhi on July 27 and one in Chennai’s Crown Plaza, to showcase its latest designs and an art film.
This Saturday, Péro will bring its spring/ summer collection to The Imperial Hotel at New Delhi’s Connaught Place for a showcase and pop-up in collaboration with Saah ra. The “Conscious Effort” pop-up will allow shoppers to browse Péro’s womenswear and menswear offerings and find out about the brand’s sustainable take on fashion.
On August 1, the brand will set up shop at Chennai’s Crowne Plaza in Adyar Park for another pop-up. The pop-up will run until August 3 and is organised with Nazyaab. This event will also see Péro present “Chandni”, an art film inspired by Sri Devi’s character in the 1989 film of the same name. The project features creative direction and styling by Nikhil Dudani with Feat cast, videography by Tsundue Phunkhang, and art direction by Vartika Sharma with Feat Cast.
Péro’s spring/ summer collection is made from textiles woven in various parts of India including West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bhagalpur, and Banaras. The collection features the brand’s signature print-mixing and pastel hues with added texture from hand-embroidered 3D motifs. The crocheted edgings and beaded fringes on the garments were created in partnership with a group of Afghani refugees and buttons were made from handcrafted ceramic.
Péro was founded by Aneeth Arora and produces clothing and accessories for women, men, and children. The brand is increasing its presence in international multi-brand stores and recently took part in the Pitti Uomo and Pitti Bimbo trade shows in Italy to this end. The brand is known for its focus on sustainable fashion and whimsical aesthetic.
