Indian brand Péro brought its signature eclectic whimsy to Florence, Italy, for its return to the Pitti Bimbo children’s wear trade show. The event ran from June 20 to 22 at the Piano Terra Lyceum and saw an array of international children’s wear brands showcase their spring/ summer 2020 collections to an audience of buyers and retailers.

Péro presented its Millefiori collection on the runway on June 21. The collection mixed a soft pastel colour palette with bright, collage-esque prints. Frills, anthropomorphic characters, and doll necklaces made for a youthful presentation but more tailored garments gave a nod to the brand’s women’s and menswear lines.

Chinese-German, Paris-based artist Nathalie Lété created a set of characters for the brand which featured in the collection as well as in the recent menswear collection shown at Pitti Uomo from June 11 to 14, also in Florence. Lété also took part in Pitti Uomo with the brand and painted her characters on the Péro display.

This year, Péro celebrates its 10th anniversary. The brand is continuing to make its business more sustainable by using recycled textiles and sustainable production methods.
