Pero presents latest collection at Paris showroom
Aneeth Arora’s sustainable fashion brand Pero travelled to Paris, France to launch its spring/ summer 2023 collection with a private showroom as the label continues to expand its international distribution.
The showroom ran from June 24 to 28 on Paris’ Boulevard Beaumarchais and welcomed an audience of international buyers, Pero announced on Facebook. Pero retails internationally through a network of multi-brand boutiques and has its highest retail presence in countries including Italy and Japan.
The brand has shared some teasers of its spring/ summer 2023 collection via ‘making-of’ films showing its craftspeople embroidering brightly coloured, blooming flower garlands on portions of lace. Videos also show artists hand painting flowers to use as reference for the detailed embroidery. The name of the collection and pictures of finished garments have not het been released.
Pero’s summer 2022 collection ‘Up’ has launched in stores across India and abroad, most recently in Cocktail Select Shop in Hong Kong and Fetneh Blake Concept in California, US, the brand announced on Facebook. Pero’s children’s wear line also recently launched at multi-brand store Baby Carousel in Italy.
Pero means ‘to wear’ in Marwari language, the local language of Rajasthan. Arora launched the brand after graduating from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The label is known for its vibrant use of colour, whimsical layering, and blend of traditional Indian and global aesthetics.
