From January 18 to 19, Péro by Aneeth Arora held a “Weekend of Love” sustainable pop-up store at Elahe Urban in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, and the brand’s next stop is Bengaluru.

Over the weekend, Péro travelled to Hyderabad for a pop-up shop with a twist. Instead of selling items from its latest collection, Péro chose a selection of favourites from previous collections, “mended with love”, according to the brand’s social media.

The pop-up store at the multi-brand boutique Elahe Urban was part of Péro’s sustainable initiative to combat textile waste. Many brands dispose of unsold clothing from previous collections which contributes to ecological destruction. Péro chose to mend, update, and sell clothing from old collections instead of dispose of it, simultaneously offering Hyderabad’s shoppers a chance to purchase clothing currently available nowhere else.

From January 24 to 25, Péro will travel to Bengaluru for its next “Weekend of Love” at Evoluzione. The pop-up shop will follow the same format at the end of the week.

Péro will be further pursuing its sustainable initiative at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) and will present a collection in collaboration with TheWoolmark Company. The knitted textile collection will debut on LFW’s Sustainable Fashion Day next week.
