On February 13, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop showcased collections created specifically for the event and which were subsequently launched on the business’ online and offline stores. The runway show saw brands including Rina Dhaka, Soup by Sougat Paul, Deme by Gabriella, Samant Chauhan, and Rippi Sethi present their latest collections and showstoppers included Kubbra Sait, Rakul Preet, Mandana Karimi, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Shama Sikander.

The fashion show used the concept of “From Ramp to Reality” to allow shoppers to see designs on the runway and then buy them immediately online. The event, hosted by Manasi Scott, had an eclectic and vibrant theme for the upcoming season and guests included Arjun Rampal, Rashmi Nigam, Rohit Verma, and Deepiksha Deshmukh among others.

As well as showcasing some of Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop’s most trending designers, the runway show supported the Smile Foundation’s initiative “She Can Fly”. The project aims to “enable, equip and empower girl children with quality education, proper nutrition, good health, adequate skills, and above all a lot of self-confidence to help them live their lives to their fullest potential,” according to the event’s press release.

The Smile Foundation’s “Ramps for Champs” saw 21 women walk the runway accompanied by children to support its initiative. The models wore handwoven sarees by designers including Sailesh Singhania, Isha Kopikkar, and Dipika Singh.

The Delhi edition of Pernia’s Pop-Up Show is scheduled for next month.
