On October 23, Papa Don’t Preach set up shop in Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop’s Bandra boutique for a collection showcase and pop-up shopping event, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop announced in a press release. The event saw Papa Don’t Preach “put on a show” for customers and launch its festive collection in-store with a focus on bridal wear.

Notting Hill is a festive collection that features occasion and bridal wear as well as more experimental designs. With a pastel colour palette and heavy embellishment, the collection was inspired by the Notting Hill area of London, UK, and its famous pastel hued town houses. Garments include hand painted lehengas, jumpsuits, embellished gowns, cocktail dresses, and heavily embellished accessories such as micro-bags.

Shubhika Davda launched Papa Don’t Preach in 2010 and the business is based in Mumbai. The brand retails from a range of multi-brand boutiques across India as well as its Mumbai flagship store and dedicated e-commerce site.

Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop is owned by Purple Style Labs and, after launching as an online store, is now expanding with an omni-channel strategy.
