As shopping events are once again becoming more common, albeit with new social distancing measures in place, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop has begun to restart its shopping events calendar. The retailer’s most recent shopping fair is a dedicated two-day event for resort wear brand, Shivan and Narresh, the retailer announced on Facebook.

The showcase features a selection of womenswear from Shivan and Narresh’s collection ‘Mujigay’, which was inspired by the culture and aesthetics of South Korean city, Seoul, and features bright textiles, including Korean lace and printed silk. The showcase also features pieces from the brand’s collection ‘Deccans & Sunderbans’, which was inspired by India’s rich and diverse tribal art-forms and is an eclectic mix of indigenous-inspired motifs.

Over the weekend, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop held a shopping event at its retail outlet Pernia's Pop-Up Studio in Hyderabad. The boutique launched Megha & Jigar's latest traditional and fusion wear collection ‘Opulence 2020’, which includes a range of bridal wear for the winter wedding season.

Prior to the pandemic, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop had a busy events schedule. As businesses look set to remain open and Indian retail adapts to the ‘new normal’, the business has shown that it plans to continue expanding as before. The Purple Style Labs-owned business recently acquired the label Wendell Rodricks for which it plans to pursue omni-channel expansion -- first in India, and then internationally.
