Peckd makes its debut with compostable fashion collection, plans menswear line

Peckd, a clothing label that describes itself as “India’s first fully compostable fashion brand,” has made its debut with the launch of its first womenswear collection ‘Delta and Dawn’. The new fashion brand plans to launch its second collection in April, along with a menswear line in May. 

 
Peckd's recently launched maiden collection Delta and Dawn is named after two famous humpback whales, the brand announced in a press release. The collection features womenswear including jackets, tops, and dresses with pleated detailing and a natural colour palette. 
 
The brand plans to launch its second-ever compostable collection titled ‘Frilled Dragon’ in the first half of April, it announced in a press release. The collection will also be compostable and will retail alongside Delta and Dawn, which the brand plans to continue to add to as an evergreen collection. 

At the end of May, Peckd plans to launch its first-ever menswear line. The brand currently retails exclusively from its dedicated e-commerce site and plans to do so for its upcoming collections.
 
Peckd garments, including their buttons and packaging, compost within 180 days when buried in moist soil. The brand believes that, beyond being sustainable, clothing must be bio-degradable to be truly eco-friendly. Garments are also dyed with vegan, organic colours which require minimal water.
