Pearl Academy hosts 2019 graduate fashion showcase
Pearl Academy concluded its season of graduate fashion showcases across its multiple campuses with its Jaipur Portfolio show at the Birla Auditorium in Rambagh where fashion and jewellery students presented their collections on the runway.
Pearl Academy’s Jaipur Campus Pearl Portfolio showcase took place on May 17 and featured graduating collections for the academy’s fashion and jewellery students. The Jaipur runway show showcased the work of 80 graduating students according to the academy’s social media
Pearl Academy held its Noida showcase from May 4 to 5, its Delhi showcase from May 8 to 9, and its Mumbai showcase on May 13 at the Sahara Star Hotel. The collective runway shows featured the work of over 1,400 graduating students and drew a host of guests from the industry including Zara’s India head designer Sundeepa Bamval Mandal, designer Vaishali S, and Nykaa CEO Adwaita Nayar.
The fashion design institute Pearl Academy has held its Pearl Portfolio graduate showcase event for the past 26 years for its graduating students. In recent years, Pearl Academy students have also shown collections at India Fashion Week and Pune Design Festival in India and at international events including New York Fashion Week, London Graduate Fashion Week, Dubai Design Week, and Milan Fashion Week. Graduating students have gone on to placements with design houses including Louis Vuitton, Raghavendra Rathore, and Shantanu & Nikhil among others.
